83rd Oscar Awards Fearful Predictions! LOL!

Ok sakto. Natapos ding panoorin ang 10 movies nominated for Best Picture ngayong bisperas ng Awards Night.

Ilang oras na lang at malalaman na natin kung tama ba ang hula ko. Hehehe..

Anyway, base sa aking formula (using standard deviation, analysis of variance, coefficient of thermal expansion, Bernoulli's Theory, Newton's 2nd Law of motion, Ohm's Law, P-value, and of course-- gut feeling) eto ang summary ng aking napanood with their scores, respectively:

4.02 -- Winter's Bone
5.84 -- The Fighter
6.63 -- The Kids Are All Right
6.91 -- The Social Network
7.01 -- True Grit
7.08 -- 127 Hours
7.22 -- Black Swan
7.54 -- Inception
7.63 -- The King's Speech

Hahaha! So lumalabas na Best Picture sa akin ang Toy Story 3! Pero syempre, given the fact na mahirap talagang masungkit ng isang animated film ang Best Picture trophy, I go for The King's Speech.

Hindi kasing astig ng pelikulang ito ang Inception when it comes to visual effects. Siguro, pinaka-nagustuhan ko ito among other nominees dahil sa "simplicity" ng istorya and indeed very inspirational.

Anyway, ito ang ilan pa sa aking mga prediksyon (although hindi ko napanood ang ilang movie na hindi man nominated sa pagka-Best Picture, eh nominated naman sa other major awards):

Dapat dito ang theme song ay "Insomnia". LOL

Kahit kasi tulog, gising na gising ang diwa ng mga karakter ng pelikula.

Pero seriously, maganda ang idea ng pelikulang ito. Unique.

Kailangan lang talagang tutukang mabuti para maka-relate. Hehehe.

Well, it's a box office hit movie, so hindi na kailangan pang i-elaborate ang synopsis nito.

Syempre, ang panlaban ng pelikulang ito ay ang Visual Effects. Sa mga mahilig sa mga ganitong klaseng pelikula, hind kayo bibiguin ng movie na ito.

Pero ang tanong, kung sa "masa" ay hit na hit ito, ganun din kaya sa mga hurado ng Oscars?

We'll see...

Pero bago ko ibigay ng score ko para rito, anong masasabi nyo sa picture na ito?:(Penrose stairs are incorporated into the film as an example of the impossible objects that can be created in lucid dream worlds.)

The Kids Are All Right

I'm telling you, this movie is not for kids. LOL

Gayunpaman, ok sa all right naman ang movie.. hehehe..

Comedy-drama ang pelikula na may temang "complicated family".

Ang kwento ay umiikot sa dalawang married lesbian (Nic and Jules) na nagkaroon ng dalawang anak (Joni and Laser) sa pamamagitan ng iisang "then anonymous" sperm donor.

Nung mag-dalaga ang panganay na anak na si Joni at nagkaroon na siya ng karapatang malaman ang kanyang biological father, syempre atat itong makilala ang "ama". Nagkakilanlan ang lahat --ang bagong tuklas na biological father nilang si Paul.

Doon nagsimula ang mas lalong komplikadong situation ng magpa-pamilya. Nagkaroon ng "secret affair" si Paul at si Jules na ikinasama ng loob nina Nic, Joni and Laser.

Ganun lang ka-simple ang kwento. Ayoko nang maging spoiler. LOL!

Para sa akin (dahil blog ko ito, hehehe), so-so lang sa akin ang pelikula. Hindi naman masyadong makapagbag-damdamin ang daloy ng kwento, so walang masyadong stress sa pelikula. Siguro ang panlaban ng pelikulang ito sa darating na Oscars ay ang acting ni Annette Bening (Nic) at ang nominasyon nito sa pagka-Best Original Screenplay. Nakakatawa kasi ang ilang linya (script) ng mga karakter ng pelikula.
